France has many customs. One of the customs that France has is shaking hands with someone that you're meeting for the first time. If someone is your friend, you greet them by giving them a light kiss on the cheeks, one on the left cheek and the other one on the right cheek. Another custom is that you only say someone's first name if you are part of their family or if you are a close friend. You can start saying someone's first name if they have invited you somewhere. In France, when you enter a store or somewhere else you're expected to say bonjour/ bonsoir to the Monsieur/ Madame. If you're at a dinner party, you have to wait til the host/ hostess says bon appetit before you start eating.
